Is Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-Bike Rack a Good Option for Occasional Use
Question:
My kids bikes don't easily fit into my 2018 CRV anymore and Id like to start riding with them but we would like to take our bikes to nearby trails etc. instead of just staying in the neighborhood. We don't bike that often as a family of 4 but when we want to we want to be able to easily load up the bikes and go. Also I am about 54 and 130 bs and I take the kids out on their bikes most often so I need something that I can easily handle by myself. Is this rack easy take on and off? Easy to load bikes on and off? Thanks!

Since you are only going to be biking occasionally, a hanging bike rack is going to be a really good option, and you are getting a really good value with the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4-Bike Rack # TH934XTR.
A hanging rack like the Hitching Post Pro is much lighter and easier to handle than a platform bike rack, which can be bulky, heavy, and awkward to take in and out of your hitch. So for occasional biking, a hanging rack is definitely the best option.
The Hitching Post Pro will keep your bikes steady with its anti-sway cradles, though I do recommend locking it to protect your investment by adding the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2.
Finally, with any hanging rack, since you are going to be taking children's bikes, and if you are going to be hauling a women's bike that has an alternative or step-through frame, you need a bike adapter bar to give them a horizontal mounting point, the Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO.
