Narrower Trailer Tire than Size 225/75-15 to Prevent Tires from Rubbing

Question:

I have 20ft enclosed trailer that has ST225/75R15. I have had issues with the clearance between the inside of the trailer and the tire sometimes rubbing the trailer. Have I been buying the correct tire or would a smaller narrower help with my issue. What size tires are usually used? The trailer has dual axles with 3500lb ratings. A long time customer Thanks

Yes a slightly narrower tire like the # TR20515D would fix the rubbing issue you are having. This tire would be 20 mm narrower to give you the clearance needed and has more than enough weight capacity at 2,150 lbs per tire.
