will this work on a bumper that has an aluminum decorative over the steel bumper?

The Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 is designed to fit 4 inch square bumpers. The inside is just a hair over 4 inches as you can see in the video so you will want to measure the bumper with the cover to determine fit. It should be noted that steel and aluminum don't pair well and galvanic corrosion can occur between the dissimilar metals if they are bare. This hitch does have a powder coat so that shouldn't be an issue, but something to consider as you may choose to notch the decorative cover,
