Recommended Bike Rack to Carry Blix Aveny E-Bike on 2010 Lexus RX 350

Question:

Hi! I just received my Blix Aveny e-bike and wondered what car rack you’d recommend? It’s 56lbs, step through, and had full fenders front and back. I have a 2010 Lexus RX 350. It’s equipped with the slide in hitch.

I recommend using the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B, which has a capacity of 60-lbs, so it will do well carrying your Blix Aveny e-bike. This rack is an easy to load platform bike rack and I really like that unlike some of the other frame mounting bike racks, it can mount to aggressive step through frames and doesn't require the use of a frame adapter bar in most cases. This rack can mount on either 1-1/4" or 2" receivers, so it will fit on whichever receiver you've got on your 2010 Lexus RX 350.

Since this rack does not come with locks integrated, I do recommend adding those to help protect your investments. For an anti-rattle hitch lock you'll need to use the Hitch Tite Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Saris Bike Racks with 1-1/4" and 2" Shanks # SA3022, which will secure the rack to your vehicle. To secure the bike to the rack I recommend using the Saris Cable Lock - 8' Long # SA981, which is an 8ft long cable lock that can be looped through the bike frame and the rack.
