How to Theft-Proof Curt C13037 Receiver Hitch on 1992 Plymouth Voyager

Question:

I recently had my expensive trailer hitch stolen right off my 92 Voyager. Before I buy a replacement, is there a way I can put on some security bolts or something like that so it doesnt get stolen again? I know I can have the bolts welded or at least tacked, but Id have to cut them off if I ever needed to move them for anything. That would be a major problem. Its best to go with simple, but effective!

If you're speaking of a receiver hitch like the # C13037 being stolen, wow! In my almost 14 years here that's a new one on me. There really isn't any really good way to theft-proof a hitch in that situation. I believe the best solution you mentioned would be to have the at least a couple of the mounting nuts tacked to the hitch so they couldn't be easily removed without grinding the tacks out. This would be an inconvenience if the hitch were ever removed, but I can think of no other way to secure the hitch.

I've linked to the installation instruction for you to check out.
