Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Springs for 2004 Ford Excursion With F350 Leaf Springs
Question:
My excursion has f350 leafs on it which gave me 2.75inch of lift. Will the excursion kit still work or will the bushings be too short still causing it to sag before they make contact.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Because the stock ride height has changed, the # TFREXC4 Timbrens for the Excursion would be ineffective for the very reason you mentioned. They'd be too short, and the suspension would compress a great deal before the Timbrens would make contact with the axle beam. However, we can still find a Timbren solution for you. With the wheels on the ground, measure the height distance between the top of the axle and the frame member where the factory bump stop mounts (see diagram).
If you can reply with that underside of frame member to axle tube distance, I'd be happy to work with Timbren in order to find a solution that would put the underside of the spring at the correct height so there's around a 1-1/2 inch gap between the underside of the Timbren spring and the axle tube when the vehicle is at normal ride height. You can simply reply to this email.
