Connecting Black Wires of Curt T-Connector and 7-Way Upgrade Kit on a 2011 Toyota Sienna

Question:

I have the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C56106 and the 4 way to 7 way adaptor ETBC7L. Since Ive already run a black wire to the battery for the C56106 can I just use that same wire to power the ETBC7L at the same time or do I need to run a separate black wire for the ETBC7L?

You will have to run the black wire on the 7-Way Upgrade Kit, part # ETBC7L, to the battery as well. This is used to power the brake controller.

The black wire for the Curt T-Connector, part # C56106, is used to power the converter box attached to the connector.

These need to be ran separately to ensure there is a stable connection to power and adequate amperage for each component.
