Dimensions of BP08-070 Replacement Manual Brake Adjuster Spring
Question:
What are the dimensions of the coiled section.of this spring? Im looking for a replacement for a 1959 Shasta electric drum brake manual adjuster. It has 2 springs per assembly. the current spring 4inch overall, and the coiled section is approx 1 1/8inch long by 5/16inch dia. Thanks!

The # BP08-070 measures 4 inches in length. The coiled portion of the spring is 1-5/8 inches in length and 13/16 of an inch in diameter. I've provided a photo showing these dimensions. This spring is the correct length to replace your existing spring, although it might be stiffer than your existing spring.
