Hole Dimensions of Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM16080-95

Question:

1. What size are the 2 larger holes? 2. What is the spacing between the 2 larger holes? 3. When the coupler is placed on a 3inch wide trailer tongue and pushed as far back as it will go front of trailer tongue hits the back of the mechanism in the coupler, how far back is the first large hole from the front of the trailer tongue? I already tried a Demco DM13203-52 coupler on this trailer, but the front hole is only 1-1/2inch back from the front edge of the tongue, while the first hole in the trailer tongue is 1-3/4. The holes are also only 1/2inch while my bolts are 5/8. I could always drill the holes if they would align, but matching would be preferable. But alignment is necessary, so I need at least 1-3/4inch clearance to that first hole.

The two larger holes are .656.

The spacing between the two larger holes is 5 inches on center.

It is 3 inches from the front of the body of the coupler to the center of the first hole.
