Using the Redarc BCDC1225D Charger to Charge Two Different Batteries

Question:

I plan to put a battery AGM, 110AHr in the back of my F150 to run a 12v 6A refrigerator with solar backup. The BCDC1225 seems perfect for this. The problem comes when I also want to charge the AGM 80 AHr in my tear trailer. This also needs solar backup. Do I need a second BCDC back to the truck battery or can I wire it to the single BCDC in the rear of the truck and use an Anderson style connector at the hitch?

There is a way to use the Redarc # 331-BCDC1225D charger to individually charge both of your batteries in two locations. First, I would not connect dissimilar batteries together for use or charging. I would complete your truck/refrigerator install as normal except I would put Anderson quick connectors on the black and brown power output. In this way you could connect to either the 110Ah battery in the truck bed, or the 80Ah battery in the trailer.

The attached product page has a wiring diargram for standard installations. I have also attached a video review.
