Correct Harness To Install Reese Brake Controller On 2011 Ram 1500

Question:

I think i found the connection port to plugin the tekonsha adapter but the wire has different colors does this make a difference? This is for a 2011 ram 1500. I am using the reese towpower controller.

In order to install a Reese, Tekonsha, or Draw-Tite Brake Controller on a 2011 Ram 1500 you'll need to use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3021-P. The port will be located under the driver dash, it's a 4-pin plug that will match the adapter. The color of wires on the vehicle harness does not need to match the adapter harness.
