Fifth Wheel Hitch With Under-Bed Mounting Option for 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

I have a 2018 Silverado 2500, dramax with 6.5 box and no OEM pucks. I ordered the Reese under bed system from you. I would like to know what hitch I should get? I prefer to not install the rails in the bed. I know I need a slider. My trailer specs are 329, UVW 9694, hitch weight is 1796, GVWR 11995. What hitch system would you use that is safest, and best for this set up? Thank you

So it sounds as if you already have the under-bed mounting kit, part # RP30868, is that correct?

The Reese under-bed mounting system uses pucks spaced differently than the GM puck system, so you'd actually need to choose either a Reese Elite hitch like the # RP30144 you'd looked at or a 5th wheel hitch for a Ford OEM puck system which uses the same puck spacing (30 inches across by 13 inches front to back on center).
