Backing Trailer While Using Reese RE94FR Round Bar Weight Distribution System
Question:
If you cant back up trailer when parking, in sharp turns, how can you turn sharp corners while pulling ? Dont understand as bars will be in stress both ways.

Expert Reply:
It's not a matter of placing stress on the bars.
When backing the trailer, especially at a sharp angle it's pretty easy to jackknife the trailer, and when it happens it happens very quickly. If you're backing the trailer at a fairly straight angle, you'll be fine. However if you're in a situation where you're cutting a sharp angle to maneuver into a tight spot it's best to disconnect the bars so the system isn't damaged if the trailer jackknifes.
