The mounting brackets for the Carr Super Hoop Side Steps would mount directly behind the pinch weld or downward pointing lip that runs along side the underside of the vehicle below the doors. For each step, two holes would be drilled through the pinch weld, and two smaller holes drilled into the underside of the vehicle for the sheet metal screws. Carr recommends centering the step on the front edge of the drivers seat.
