Base Plates and Flat Towing Accessories for 2003 Saturn L Series
Question:
Will a Roadmaster base plate 194-3 fit my 2003 Saturn LW200? I know it will fit a 2001-03 Chevy Malibu.

For a 2003 Saturn LW200, you would need the Roadmaster Base Plate Kit, part # 523114-1.
As you said, the 194-3 will fit the same model year Malibu, as well as the Olds Alero and Pontiac Grand Am SE, but not the Saturn L series. The # 523102-1 fits the 2000-2002 Saturn L series, but not the 2003 model.
In addition to the base plates, you will also need a tow bar, safety cables, lighting and a supplemental braking system.
I can recommend the Falcon 2 towbar, part # RM-520 and the # RM-643 coiled safety cables. If you prefer a straight cable, part # RM-645 would also be available.
According to my research, the 2003 Saturn L series is capable of being flat towed, with a 65 mph speed limit. It is also recommended that you start the engine every few hundred miles to keep the battery charged. You will want to confirm this by consulting your owners manual or GM.
There are many different lighting options available, your best bet would be to look over the FAQ article I have linked you to to determine which is the right choice for you.
I have also linked to our Supplemental Braking System FAQ that also lists the various options.
