For your 2009 Dodge Ram with a 5 foot 7 inch bed you will need to use a standard fifth wheel hitch and a Sidewinder with Rotating Turret to pull a fifth wheel trailer and avoid contact issues between the vehicle and trailer. You will need to know the manufacturer and model number of your pin box to determine which sidewinder will fit your trailer and then order the Sidewinder with the proper towing capacity for your setup.
To determine if a Sidewinder will work for your vehicle and trailer setup you can use the formula at the bottom of our Sidewinder page (see link) and determine if you will have clearance with the sidewinder installed.
If the Sidewinder will work with your setup you will need the part # RP50142-58 to install the under bed brackets and the in-bed rails.
