Will Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2250 Fit 2005 Sierra 3500 Dually Crew Cab

Question:

Will your air bags take the place of the overload springs that are on my truck now? Will your air bags soften or eliminate the snap / jar that is transmitted through the truck that I have now? I like the installation of no drilling with your air bags.

For your 2005 GMC Sierra 3500 Dually Club Cab, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2250 will not replace the overload springs on your truck. They work with the overload springs on your vehicle, distributing the load on your truck evenly and helping keep the truck stable.

The air springs are mounted in place of the jounce bumpers that are attached to your vehicles frame. I have included a link to instructions for the proper installation of this product as well as a video showing the installation on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. While it's not the same vehicle as yours, the installation technique is similar.

When your truck has a heavy load, the air springs can be inflated to help keep the strain off your rear suspension and will absorb the road shock that will help give you a smooth ride.
