Are Cable Style Tire Chains for 245/55 R19 Tires Approved for Use in California
Question:
Will the # PW 1042 Fit this Tire. I Live in California and have an All Wheel Drive. I must carry chains by law, but will probably never use them. 245/55 R19

For cable style chains for a 245/55-19 you can use # PW2029C. These cables are Class S compatible and they do comply with Department of Transportation requires and can be used in California. You will also want to consult the vehicle owners manual for specific recommendations on tire chain use. I have included a link to our tire chain FAQ article for you.
I also recommend tensioner # PW99 to keep the cables taught.
