Recommended Replacement Brake Assembly for 1966 Kencraft Travel Trailer
Question:
Hi, I have a 1966 Kencraft Travel Trailer with 13 inch wheels that uses a 10x2 1/4x1 5/8 round magnet part #5105 which are no where to be found. If I replace the brake assemblies what are your recommendations? Thank you,

Since you've got 13" wheels, you've likely got 7" brakes; for that I recommend using the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 7" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 2,000 lbs # AKEBRK-2, which are designed for 2000-lbs axles. These brakes do not come with mounting hardware, so you'll also need # BRKH7
If you find that you've got 10" brakes, the # AKEBRK-35-SA are a great choice for 3500-lbs axles and provide you with a self adjusting brake kit. These brakes also do not come with mounting hardware, so you'll want to use # BRKH10B in that case.
Brakes are usually determined by the axle capacity, so you should check your axles for any type of sticker/plate that has the axle capacity on it. If you find that you've got something that doesn't match either one of these, just let me know and I can help you locate the appropriate replacement brakes.
