Lippert Stabilizer Jack is Clicking

Question:

My rear jack stopped working. I am plugged into shore power and battery if fully charged. The front jack works fine. I hear a clicking noise from the relay but nothing happens. How do you trouble shoot these to determine what is wrong? Also are the two wires that go into the motor both hot just grounded to the frame or just reverse polarity to reverse direction of the motor? Thanks

There are a couple things you can do to try and figure out why your Lippert Components High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack # LC298707 or # LC369774 is not working and is just making a clicking sound. Most likely it is a wiring or switch issue since you mentioned the battery was charged.

Start by inspecting the wiring to at the switch to make sure it is not somehow damaged or if there are any obvious signs the wires are bad. Then test the wiring at the switch with a multimeter to see if you are getting voltage, and if not then you need a new switch, either White # LC144214 or Black # LC387874.

A bad switch or wiring is very likely the issue, but if you can't find a problem there, it may also be the motor having gone out, which would mean a replacement, the Replacement Electric RV Stabilizer Jack Motor # LC352338.

In regards to the wires, they are both hoth hot, one is for extend and the other is for retract.
