Parts Needed to Install 7 Way Trailer Connector on 2021 Kia Telluride
Question:
I currently have no harness, getting ready to install a hitch and want to you use Curt echo as my brake controller. What do I need to plug into the Telluride and end up with a 7 pin at the back? Do I need a 4 pin to connect from factory plug in and then a conversion from a 4 to a 7 to end up with the 7 at the back? Last, after I get the 7, i need to just run black to positive battery and a ground?

We've got just what you need!
You're correct that you'll need to start with a 4-way trailer harness like the Curt # CU94FR, which will connect directly to the plug in at the rear of your vehicle. This will give you the base of what you need to add a 7-way connector. For that, since you're going to be using a Curt Echo # C51180, I recommend using the # ETBC7L since it's designed to be used with wireless brake controllers. You'll just need to make a connection to the battery and ground like you mentioned and it's ready to go.
I've linked some installation videos for you to follow along with during the process that you'll find helpful, I'm sure.
