Finding a Ground Location for a Trailer Wiring Harness on a Kia Optima

Having a problem to find bare metal on my optima onlt the ball any other ideas?

You may need to scrape away some undercoating on the bottom of the vehicle in order to get a bare metal surface. Any surface with coating or paint will need to have those materials removed in order to get a good ground connection. Usually behind a tail light assembly there is some bare metal. You can also look for other wiring harnesses nearby and ground it in the same location.
