Could Adding Length to Tow Bar Setup with Hitch Adapter Cause Steering Issues with Towed Vehicle

Question:

Hi. I have read several posts on here about how to carry an RV hitch mounted bike rack, and still connect a Toad to the back of the RV. what I am wondering is how adding the dual receiver and extension affects the Toad tracking behind the RV. Does the toad start to wander side to side?

Flat towed vehicles do generally have a slight side to side movement when tracking behind a motorhome or vehicle. That's just the nature of the unlocked steering wheel of the towed vehicle. Adding length to the tow bar setup does not generally add a significant amount of side to side movement but under right circumstances I could see how this might be possible. That said, it's not a known problem or one that is reported typically.
