Ground Clearance Requirements for my 2021 GMC Yukon

Question:

My trailer has a hitch height of 15.75. I love the BandW hitches, but with that trailer Im a little concerned that with a second ball pointing down it will have very little clearance. Im guessing it would be around 10-11inch from the ground. Do you have any recommendations on how much clearance I should have under the hitch?

There is not a rule on how much clearance you need. It really comes down to the terrain you are driving over. For general use however having 10-11 inches of clearance will be sufficient when using the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount part # BWTS10038B. There are several vehicles on the market where their hitches sit within 7 or 8 inches of the ground with out issues.
