Will 10K Reese/Bulldog Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set Fit in Place of a 6.5K Set
Question:
1 I have a Bulldog Tandem Landing Gear Set - Drop Leg - 18inch Lift - 6,500 lb on My 2008 Newmar Cypress Fifth Wheel, model #33 RLSH. Will a Bulldog Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set - 36inch Travel - 10,000 lbs # BD500161 fit into the same brackets ? If not, what about the Bulldog Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set - 36inch Travel - 7,000 lbs #BD500170. I want to replace mine with one that has two motors, ASAP. 2 What is the distance from the top of the Black Tube U shaped bracket to the top of the Motor mounted on it?

I spoke with my contact at Reese/Bulldog and he informed me that the 6.5k, 7k, and 10k landing gear sets uses the same mounting brackets so you can switch out the one you have with a higher capacity. On the 10k the overall height of the entire unit will be 4 inches taller than the one you have. The motor is 7-5/8 inches tall overall.
