The Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979006 are made of 14 gauge powder coated steel. They also said that what gives the jacks their strength is only partially due to the thickness of the steel. The strength also comes from the fact the metal is reinforced with a folded edge for added rigidity, and there are also grooves pressed into the metal which help fortify them.
These jacks have a 6,500 lb support capacity and you can be sure that you will get every available pound of support from them.
