Use of Roadmaster Front Sway Bar 1139-176 SAF-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer

Question:

Hi guys. Say, I have a question concerning the use of the Roadmaster part #1139-176 sway bar with SAF-T-Plus steering stabilizer in a 2018 Coachman Leprechaun QB21 Ford E450. The SAF-T-Plus mounting kit includes a mounting bracket for the passenger side that goes underneath the sway bar U-bracket and re-uses the factory fasteners. Because there is no corresponding spacer under the drivers side U-bracket for the front sway bar, this will leave the front sway bar at a slight angle after the SAF-T-Plus is installed. Will this cause an issue? Should a spacer be used to keep the sway bar level between the U-bracket mounts? I recently purchased a rear trac bar which mounts under the rear sway bar U-bracket and it included a spacer for the other side.

I checked with my tech contact over at Roadmaster and while they're not familiar with the SAF-T-Plus steering stabilizer you mentioned, he did say that when installing the Roadmaster # RM-1139-176 it's ok to have a slight angle down/up on the sway bar. As long as this is less than 1" or so, you won't have any issues. If you need to use some sort of spacer on the saddle brackets to mount the bar level, you can also do this.
