Life Span of Tires on Yakima Easy Rider Rack and Roll Multi-Tier

Question:

Hi There, We are planning a trip from NC to CO with our Rack and Roll loaded up with the Skyrise HD3 Rooftop Tent and possibly a Hobie Kayak or cargo basket with camping gear. How many miles can we expect to get out of the tires? I have ordered a spare from you guys just in case. Anything else we should do to prepare? Thank you so much!

Trailer tires typically last anywhere from 5000 to 12000 miles, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about with your Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08107 driving from North Carolina out to Colorado, and back. I think you're likely going to be on the lower end of that spectrum because of the size of the tire, but as long as the tires aren't damaged along the way you've got nothing to worry about.

The Spare Tire # Y08121 you picked up is a great add on, so that's smart thinking on your part, and if you get in a pinch these are tubed tires so you can always replace the tube in the event of a puncture. You can use the Replacement Inner Tube for Wheel on Yakima Rack and Roll Trailers - Qty 1 # Y8880283 if you wanted to keep one of those on hand, as well.
