Are the CIPA Towing Mirrors Removable After They've Been Installed
Question:
are they removable
asked by: Clifford W
Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes. The CIPA # CM11551 is a slip on towing mirror that can be removed and re-installed as necessary. A lot of folks don't want the extended mirrors on when they don't need them, so all you would need to do is loosen the knob on the back and slide them off when you're done with your towing trip. This is a single driver's side mirror and is designed to fit on a variety of Ford trucks.
If you've got a Chevy Silverado like was indicated in your vehicle information, the correct slip on mirrors are the CIPA # CM10800, which are sold in pairs.
I've also linked a review video of this style of mirror for you to have a look at, and see how they install.
