No roof modification is required to switch from a Coleman air conditioner to the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - 15,000 Btu - Ducted - White Item # AT15028-22. You just want to make sure before removing or installing the units the power is off. When installing the new unit, make sure you do not drag the air conditioner to the mounting location. The foam seal could be damaged and could leak into your sealing. You also want to make sure the foam seal is compressed about halfway when installing the bolts to secure the unit down to the roof.
