Rampage Wireless Backup Camera Connection Issue With Android Device

Just recently purchased the 7710 Rampage back up camera… It connects perfectly with my Apple IOS device, but although it connects with my android device and I can see the camera transmitted images there is a message on the screen that says “Please connect camera”. Is this a known problem? I have tried multiple android devices all exhibit the same symptoms. The android app we downloaded is version 1.0 dated Sept 2018. Reviews say it works with older IE 9 versions of android, but doesn’t seem to work on the newer versions. Is there an update to the app so it works on newer versions of the android app?

There is not an update to the app but Android devices can be tricky because according to the instructions, you'll need to be sure the "the camera shows as connected in the Android devices WiFi connections screen," and that "Android devices vary in terms of where the WiFi connections screen can be found."

So you'll want to check your devices to show it is connected in the appropriate screen. If that does not work, they say to shut the app down completely and re-start it, but if that does not work to contact the manufacturer.
