I installed kit and reverse lights not working ? When I put in reverse it appears brake lights are on?

If what you installed was the part # TR118821 that you referenced you should note that this kit was not designed for attaching to the reverse light circuit at all. The fact your brake lights come one when putting the vehicle in reverse would indicate you ran the stoplight circuits of the kit to the reverse lights instead of the brake lights.
