Tie Downs for Scooter on Cargo Carrier
Question:
The 60 X 24 cargo carrier seems like a good fit. I need to transport an e-scooter two front wheels and one rear that measures 70L X 28.7W X 40.6H. Wheels are 16 inch diameter include tires, and wheels are at the outer length both in front and back, so it looks like the vehicle will fit inside the carrier. The 28.7 inch includes the handle bars whereas the tires will fit inside the 24 inch width. Assuming you agree this carrier seems appropriate, I'm concerned about best way to tie this down. Two thirds of the scooter is no more than 30-32 inch high with the 40.6 inch where the handlebars/rear view mirrors are. Any suggestions? Thanks. Photo attached.

Your photo did not come through, but if you are sure your scooter will fit inside the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18152, I do have a suggestion for tie-downs. What I recommend are motorcycle tie-downs, as these will work with your scooter as well, the ShockStrap Ratchet Motorcycle Tie-Downs with Shock Absorbers # 297-7RSBB-M.
This is a quantity of four straps and they are shock-absorbing to keep your scooter steady with constant tension so the straps won't come loose. I have added a link to a video review showing these tie-downs in action.
Also, to secure the cargo carrier to your hitch you will need the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880.
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well.
