Does Computer Need to be Flashed on 2017 Ram 3500 With Factory Brake Controller to Replace It

Is it a plug and go? I seen one review they said the dealer has to reconfigure the TIPM before you disconnect ITBM, to eliminate the warning lamp on the dash? I have a 17 ram 3500 duly

We do have one option that won't require you to make trip to the dealer to flash the computer on your 2017 Ram 3500 with a factory brake controller, but for all others, you will have to do so.

In order to avoid having to do that I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.

This will simply plug into the 7-way on your 2017 Ram 3500 and will override your factory brake controller so you don't have to have the dealer flash your computer. It is a supremely easy to use brake controller that you set up with an app on your smart phone to give you smooth and effective braking.

So to avoid any possibility of getting an error code and having to make a trek to the Ram dealer I do recommend going with the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
