Converter to Go From Combined Trailer Taillight Circuit to Separate
Question:
I bought LED rear lights for a flatbed on a 1999 Dodge Ram truck. The product is 3 wire and the rear lights on the truck are 4 wire. Presently brake, running and turn signal work on the amber red lights. I tried tapping in to the 7 wire trailer hitch for just the yellow turn signal wire, but I still get brake lights in the yellow light illegal in Arizona How do I wire the lights where the yellow is active on turn signal and NOT red?

Helpful Expert Reply:
You need a signal converter to get the amber turn light circuit separate from the stoplight circuit like with # 118158 which will take your combined circuits and put them on separate circuits so that you can have the stoplights on the red lights and turns just on the amber.
