Will Lippert LC328492 Trail Air Flex Air Pin Box Raise Front of 5th Wheel Higher Than OEM Pin Box

Question:

I currently have the BandW BWRVK3770 hitch does it matter if I get the 18K or 20K flex air to replace my current moreryde spb72-1621HD kingpin. Camper is 14k max. On both of these will the height change in my bed rails higher or lower?. Have a 2015 Forest River wildCat 333mk the BandW is adjusted but trailer still rides high in front. Dont want to make worse with this hitch and adding air.

The 1621 and 1621HD OEM pin box both have the same bolt pattern, so since your 5th wheel will max out at 14K, you can certainly use the 18K Trail Air Flex Air, part # LC328492.

According to Lippert, when the Trail Air Flex Air is fully inflated, the top of the pin box will sit about 2 inches higher than the stock 1621. That would make for a very firm ride, so it's unlikely you'd want to run that much pressure in the bag, Lippert estimates that at half full (which is where most folks keep the bag pressure) you'd sit about 1/2 to 1 inch higher than the OEM pin box.

I've linked to a product description video featuring the Trail Air Flex Air # LC328492
