Does Existing Wax Need Removing Before Applying Griot's Garage GG64FR Spray-On Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax

can you apply this product over existing wax or do you need to strip and degrease the car/trailer. This is in regards to the Ceramic liquid wax

Before applying the # GG64FR Spray-On Ceramic 3-in-1 Wax, Griot's Garage strongly recommends removing the existing wax using a product such as the Foaming Surface Prep, part # 349B3101. If the existing wax isn't removed, the product won't perform properly resulting in a streaky or uneven appearance.
