2" Hitch Adapter for Thule Hitching Post 945
Question:
Hello, I received this response from Thule regarding an adapter to go from 1.25 inch to 2 inches. "The bike rack that you have is from approx. 2002. The Hitching Post 945. That model was specifically made to fit a 1.25” trailer hitch. There is no hitch sleeve adapter available for this unit to up size to a 2” trailer hitch Note where the hitch pin bolt goes in to the stinger – there are no holes for an adapter to Securely screw into. Sorry, but I do not have a solution to offer you on this one." Do you have a solution for my problem? Thank you,

My solution for this is to approach it from another angle and REDUCE your hitch size, since the sleeve adapters that increase the hitch of this specific model, the Thule Hitching Post 945, are no longer widely available. I recommend the Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" # HT02 as a workaround for you. I attached a video showing how to install and use the reducer.
This works with standard hitch pins bolts or a threaded hitch pins which it looks like you have on your rack.
