Does the Backup Alarm on Curter Trailer Connector Adapter # C57102 Sound Just when Towing

When the vehicle alone vs towing is backing up, does the alarm still sound?

Any time the vehicle is placed in reverse, whether you are towing or not, the alarm will sound. You will have to make sure that yellow wire is connected to a reverse light wire on the vehicle in order for the alarm to function.
