Brake Light Switch For 1976 Winnebago that is Open When Pressed and Closed When Released
Question:
I need to know if your stop light switch operates the same way my failed brake light switch operated. It is for a 1976 Winnebago on a Dodge M400 Chassis. The switch plunger must be pressed in till the brakes are pushed, letting the plunger out to make a closed circuit so the brake lights work. Do you know if your switch operates this way?

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and found that the brake switch in the RM-751220 Stop Light Switch Kit is normally closed which means that the brake lights will come on, plunger closes the circuit, when the plunger is released. When the plunger is pushed in it opens the circuit turning the brake lights off.
