The GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Slide Out - 17 cu ft - Black # H00604 is 50 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole when it is slid away from the vehicle. You could use this measure to determine if you have enough room for the doors of your 2017 Sprinter van to fully open.
You could also consider the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitches - 10 cu ft - 100 lbs # Y62VR. This carrier swings off to the side allowing you nearly 100 percent access to the rear of the vehicle. I have linked a video review for you.
