What is the Warranty on the Furrion Chill HE AC and Does it Come with a Start Capacitor
Question:
Hello. I am planning on installing this unit in my 1978 Airstream Argosy 28 foot. I will not be done for at least a year or more. Is it possible to get an extended warranty or have the warranty activated when the renovation is completed. I am looking at the 15,500 BTU premium. I want over kill on cooling. Also, do you sell a “soft start” for this unit?

Expert Reply:
The Furrion Chill HE # FR55PV comes with a 2-year warranty but only 1 year on the thermostat, but that is directly from the manufacturer and starts at the time of purchase, so you may want to wait to purchase until you're getting down to the end of your renovation to maximize the coverage. The good news is that this unit comes with a start capacitor, which is designed to help start the unit when power is limited and is similar to the "soft start" feature you're referring to.
