2018 Ford Raptor Towing Boat Trailer With Weight Distribution System
Question:
Hello, I’m looking to buy a wake boat and need my 2018 Raptor to tow it. The boat would weigh around 5000-7000 plus the trailer. I am interested in using a weight distribution hitch however I have heard you cannot use it with boat trailers. What would you recommend?

Your 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor is rated for 6,000 to 8,000 lbs towing capacity so you will want to make sure your specific vehicle is rated to tow the boat and trailer you desire. To use a weight distribution system on a boat trailer, you need an adapter for the pole tongue of your trailer. I recommend the Pole-Tongue Adapter for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ95-01-5950 along with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # EQ37060ET because boat trailers typically have slightly less tongue weight compared to overall weight compared to other trailers. If your tongue weight will be above 600 lbs, then I recommend the next step larger system # EQ37100ET rated for tongue weights from 600 to 1000 lbs.
