20 inch Hitch Extension that Can be Used with 2005 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel Truck and a 1994 Lance camper. I have done all of the calculations and found that I appear to be fine with my vehicles GVWR and GCVWR to tow my rock crawler on a 10k capacity tilt deck trailer with the camper in the truck. Approximate trailer weight with crawler on it will be 6500 pounds. My question is, what equipment is necessary to extend my trailer hitch to the back of my camper, 20, and have the load capacity necessary for the 6500 pound trailer. I have a hitch extension that goes in the trucks receiver and bolts to the bumper of the camper but have only used it for a bike rack and I am positive it is not going to work for hauling the trailer. Thank you for your help!

To get a 20 inch extension and have capacity for the trailer you mentioned you'd have to use an extension like the Torklift # TLE1524 which requires a Torklift hitch installed on the truck like part # TLD1102 and you'd be set. There really isn't any other way to have the capacity and the length needed.
