On you 2015 Chevy Silverado with the 6'5" bed, the base rail closest to the tailgate, rear edge of the base rail, needs to be sitting at a mark at 25-1/8" measured from the rear edge of the bed. It is listed in the instruction on page 5. You also want to measure between each end of the rail and the wheel well to make sure it is centered in the bed and mark the ends of the rail. Also keep in mind if you have a drop in bed liner, remove it and it can be reinstalled and cut around the rails after they are installed. If you have a spray in bed liner add an extra 1/16" to your measurement for the thickness of the liner. Set the second base rail in the bed closer to the cab. Place your hitch in the rails and secure it with the pin and clips. You will use your hitch as the guide for marking the correct location for the second base rail.
I have provided a link to the instructions and a video as an over view of the initial set up and instillation. The video is on a 2002 Ford so you want to make sure your measurements are for your truck and bed size don't go by the measurement in the video.
I also recommend Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long
Item # C56000 if you don't have an existing one. This gives you a 7 pole plug inside your bed so you don't have to drape the wire from your trailer over the tailgate and plug into your bumper.
