Will Installation of MagnaFlow Exhaust on 2008 GMC Sierra Cause Engine Light To Come On

Will my engine light come on, if I change out my exhaust system. I have an KandN air filter on my truck. Thanks

When installing the MagnaFlow Exhaust System, part # MF18915, on your 2008 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 V8 6.6L, the first step is to disconnect the vehicle's battery before removal of the OEM exhaust. This will allow the computer to reset itself with the new system, and keep the engine light from coming on. It will also help prevent electrical accidents.
