How Low of a Crosstube Can Swagman E-Spec Attach to

C Jameson answered my question about the mounting. Now, the big question. I want to mount 2 Blix bikes each weighing a lilttle over 70 with the battery. So, removing both batteries saves about 15 lbs. one is a Sol and the other I an Aveny Both are step thru models with the Sol even lower than the tube on the Aveney. How far down can the hooks be lowered? I saw something that is placeced between the handle bar pos and seat post. This then becomes the cross bar. But, is it secure enough not to make the seat slide up?

The hooks of the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR can adjust down to about 13 inches from the top of the wheel hoops. This works for most step through bike racks but an adapter bar like part # UB01 can be used to provide a horizontal attachment point for the rack. Or a better choice might be a rack that use a clamp instead like the Hollywood Racks RV Rider like part # HLY64FR which can adjust much lower. This also has the capacity for heavier e-bikes as well and can be used at the back of an RV.
