Does 2008 Toyota Sequoia Need Suspension Support When Towing Trailer

Question:

I have a 2008 Toyota Sequoia. I bought a travel trailer to tow behind it. Is the stock suspension enough to tow the trailer, or do I need to beef up the rear? Trailer weighs 3,500 lbs empty, and 4,000 gross.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The suspension of your 2008 Toyota Sequoia is soft enough that you'll experience some sag as you are towing the trailer you mentioned. Suspension enhancement like the Timbren kit part # TTORSEQ1 would be a really great idea to reduce this and give you a more stable towing experience so I would recommend it for you.
