1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Replacement Towing Mirror for 7300 Model Upgrade
Question:
Two of the 4 - 15mm torex screws that hold the axle popped off. So the mirror is loose. The screws are too small for long term service. The other two screws are too tight to remove without breaking off the screw head. Can I get a replacement bracket base that holds the mirror axle? Hopefully CIPA has improved their design with larger screws.

We don't have the bracket you are specifically referencing as a replacement part. The CIPA Magna Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Manual - Driver and Passenger Side # CM-83000 when we install only deals with the interior mounting bracket. That is the only full replacement mirror we have from any of our manufacturers for your 1996 Ram Pickup.
We don't have the ability to look at the interior components without voiding a warranty, so I don't know if the components have changed or not from your 7300 model but obviously they have come out with a different option which likely involves improvements.
