Rhino Rack Kayak Carrier Compatible with Thule Track Rack Ladder Rack

Question:

Hi E.Trailer Expert, Can I use a Rhino-Rack Nautic Stack Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Post Style - Folding - 4 Kayaks - RRS520 with my 73/74 inch wide Thule TracRac SR rack? I was thinking that maybe if I buy 2 Rhino Rack Stack carriers I can tie down 2 on one side of the Thule rack and then 2 on the other...each set of 2 kayaks tied down to the Rhino rack. Do I need some kind of adapter kit or anything to make that work? I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra Quad Cab 5 ft, 6 in bed and would like to load 4 kayaks on the top of the Thule rack and then put our bikes in the bed under the kayaks. We are pulling a trailer as well but I am hoping that our smaller 8 kayaks will fit without hanging over the back too much in case of sharp turns. Any advice on whether this will work would be greatly appreciated. ...are there any other kayak carriers that will work with the Thule TracRac SR rack? I have included pictures for reference. The Rhino-Rack Nautic 580 Side Loading Kayak Carrier - Saddle Style - Side Loading - Channel Mount # RR580 or Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Rear Loading Kayak Carrier - Saddle Style - Rear Loading - Channel Mount # RR581 will be compatible with your Thule TracRac SR. The clamp on style options of these carriers won't fit because of the larger crossbars but the channel mounts will work. These would be great options for up to 3 kayaks based on the width of most trucks.

The Rhino-Rack Nautic Stack Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Post Style - Folding - 4 Kayaks # RRS520 is also an option for up to 4 kayaks as you stated and will allow the channel style mount as well. For your 4 kayaks with 8 foot length you should be just fine with this setup even pulling a trailer. That is my recommendation for you.
